The work: The Salvation Army in Aston focuses on work as a youth provision for the area with three open youth clubs a week, a variety of mentoring programmes, classroom support in the local school, detached work in the community and sports teams. This leads to further work with parents, social services, local law enforcement teams and the wider community.

Personnel opportunities:
Self-funding volunteer – Due to the variety of programmes that are run through the centre, we are often looking for volunteers with youth work experience to support ongoing activities. If you would like further information on current opportunities then please contact the centre.

Prayer Supporter – We have a monthly news email which we send out. If you would like to receive this then please emailĀ olly@astonsalvationarmy.org

Year Out – Aston is classed as one of the most deprived areas in Britain, therefore, if you have a passion to see young people reach their potential and grow and/or want to learn or develop your skills in youth work this may be the place for you.

The area: Aston is situated to the north of Birmingham city centre. It is a multi-cultural neighbourhood with large Muslim and black communities.
