Turnaround is Fair Play

HAHAHAHAH....let justice prevail. So, I pull a U'ee turnaround in the Corps van at an intersection. I'm not sure if the driver I cut off saw the Sally Ann Shield, but the cop who pulled me over sure did. The youth in the van saw the cop. I didn't. I have now made an illegal turn, caused a dangerous situation for another vehicle and to boot? I don't have my wallet on me. You know you're in a small town when the first words out of the officer's mouth are, "Hellooooo Mr. Zelinsky". After a number of very pointed and embarrassing questions pertaining to my driving habits he let me go to the laughter and jeers of the 6 youth in the back of the van. Taking the high road I said, "God just gave us an illustration of His grace. I deserved to get a ticket, but was let go without paying the penalty." My son replied even quicker, "So dad, do you think he read your blog?" (see May 11).
