Laryngitis

"The whole church is called to the poor. To me it speaks to the prophetic aspect of The Salvation Army's original vision - to call the church back to the poor. Now, we minister to the poor, or service the poor, but do we speak to the rest of the church about their God given responsibility to do the same? Perhaps we are too busy trying to get The Army to love the poor again. Our prophetic voice is turned inwards, and we actually have lost our right to speak to the greater church. If only our denomination would care for the poor again, perhaps the message about the whole church's responsibility to the poor could again emanate from the lips of Salvationists."
